Myra Bellinger – Community Partner (Former AFL Provider)

Having served as an intern first, then a direct care provider as well as one who operated an AFL (Alternative Family Living) home, I’ve had the unique privilege of experiencing firsthand the integrity, compassion, and excellence that define What Matters Most. This organization does more than offer services—they build relationships that prioritize the dignity, safety, and well-being of each participant.

What I appreciate most is their intentionality in hiring individuals who don’t just do the work—they live the mission. Every interaction reflects a deep commitment to person-centered care. The team doesn’t feel like staff—they feel like family, consistently creating environments of trust, belonging, and genuine support.

It’s a joy to remain part of a mission that truly honors what matters most: the people we are so fortunate to serve.

Debbie Crisp – Owner/President (Professional Consulting Solutions, LLC)

I have had continuing experience working directly with What Matters Most this past year.  As a consultant, I work directly with the management staff along with all the employees.  My first impression was the professionalism and desire they have to make sure the right employees are in place to provide the utmost care to their clients.  Many companies simply run as a business.  What Matters Most runs at the level of personally taking each case to heart and making sure every client is given the best care.  To have an organization that strives to provide the best care for their client base and desire to provide the most for their employees to do the job is a hard combination.  What Matters Most is full circle and has achieved this balance.

To know that our son is safe and is living his best life.

What Matters Most is not a service provider to us. They are our partner in supporting and encouraging our son's growth and helping him live life to his fullest potential.

They are proactive, involved, caring, invested, responsive, and an integral part of our son's success living in his own apartment. We couldn't do it without them.

Jane B. (Member’s Parent/LRP)

What Matters Most has provided our son and entire family with exemplary support. At every turn and challenge, What Matters Most has given us the response, concern, care and positive attitude needed to help our son move forward and continue to be all that he can be. We are so grateful for the What Matters Most community!

I’m so happy we found "What Matter Most" agency! The agency has provided much needed support, information, and activities for our family. The overall experience has been wonderful from the leadership to the staffing. I wish we had known earlier about "What Matter Most"

Cathy & George Blazier (LRP and AFL Provider)

What Matters Most has been a lifesaver for us!  We wanted to find an agency who would support us with Kyle, and WMM is the answer. When I met Greg, I was very adamant about what we wanted in an agency. I was bringing my own team to support Kyle, and I wanted the agency to agree to hire the team. Greg said absolutely! From that point on, I knew we had found not only a great agency, but an extension of our family!

WMM not only offers training to their staff, they also offer opportunities to receive bonuses in many ways. They offer a High 5 program that involves staff peers, and family to speak up when staff have gone above and beyond. They offer special gatherings so staff and families can socialize together. They appreciate their staff and they show it! It is very important to our family that an agency supports and appreciates the staff!

Our Kyle is unique and needs lots of support! We know that we can count on WMM to be there in any way needed at any moment. We feel the love from Greg & Rebecca, and everyone at What Matters Most. This adventurous journey would be much more difficult without all of them!

Our experience with What Matters Most has been a blessing.  After receiving services from a couple of other service agencies, we are so happy to have found WMM.  They truly care about their clients, their families, and their employees.  Not only do they provide quality services, but they also help advocate and educate their clients and employees to seek additional services and funding that is much needed in NC.  Greg, Rebecca, Bill, and the admin team make certain everyone feels Ike you are a part of a family, with personal text messages, holiday gatherings, and annual celebrations. My 23-year-old son, with a disability, feels comfortable texting or messaging them freely and always receives a prompt reply.  As a parent, I am fortunate and feel comfortable knowing WMM will always be there to answer the phone, text, message, or any need for assistance. Sincerely thankful for the hard work and dedication we receive from What Matters Most.

What Matters Most has given our son excellent residential and day program support for over 8 years. Our dedicated and caring staff is like family. We feel blessed to be part of the What Matters Most community.
The Bartley Family
What Matters Most has been a lifeline for our family to function on a daily basis.  Having two adult children with IDD with complex behaviors had been so difficult on our family for decades; this changed when we started services with What Matters Most. Their willingness to accommodate the specific needs of our children, work with us when behaviors were tough and always looking at what was the best solution for our adult children.  Our family would not have the peace and ability to get through daily life without What Matters Most.

It has been my pleasure to get to know you and your staff over the past 6 years. I have always been impressed with your staff’s sincere desire to provide the very best care to the families they serve… and with a smile. Staff members are competent and caring, yet full of fun, always striving to do what is best for their clients. We are very blessed to have their services available in our community. You are an inspiration to us all!

The staff is incredibly compassionate and dedicated, each member treated with respect and kindness. My son has bloomed here ! He is more confident , engaged and socially connected with peers than before. The freedom from worry, knowing my son is in good hands is priceless.

My son has been with What Matters Most for approximately seven years.  It was the best decision we ever made, not just for him, but for us as a family.

From management on down it is obvious that the participants are genuinely cared for.  We have never worked with an agency where families know who the president is and are welcomed to contact him at any time. In turn he knows each participant and makes the time and effort to talk with them when he sees them.

What Matters Most is the only agency that we have worked with that truly gives back to their participants as well as their employees, in more ways than one.

I have and will continue to recommend WMM to family, friends or anyone that is looking for services.
